March 6th, club presidents and elected YRs from across Texas got together to discuss for our quarterly meeting in Rockwall.

We have a number of events coming up that were discussed and will be added to the calendar:

• RTP Convention
• YRNF National Board Meeting in New Orleans (already on calendar)
• Young Republican Leadership Conference in D. C.

Texas is planning to make a bid for the 2013 Young Republican National Convention.

There was a long discussion and presentation as well about the TYRF website. I gave a presentation using the DCYR revamped website as an example of how we could be more effective online. If you have thoughts about the TYRF website and how it can be improved, please email me as I’m sitting on that board. My company will also be placing a bid on the site, which would then be show-cased at RTP. More details when I have them.

• Over 10,000 phone banking calls were placed by YRs in the Virginia/New Jersey taces as part of the YRNF regional deployment
• the Southern Regional Caucus is putting together an official Facebook group for communication purposes and as a outlet to relay information to clubs and federations in our region
• we will be gathering information on hotly contested races in 2010, in order to coordinate YR regional deployments. If you have races that should be on our radar, like TX-17 with Chet Edwards, contact Luke Niles
• Luke was appointed to the Resolutions Committee, so if you have a resolution you want YRNF to address, email it to Luke at aggiehoss04@gmail.com
