I always love it when my anti-war liberal and sometimes libertarian friends try to argue how damaging the Iraq War spending was to the economy and how all of that spending made Bush a “big government liberal”, etc… The truth is, a lot of that spending would have gone towards defense items anyways (something a lot of anti-war liberals are against to begin with).
This article shows just how marginal Iraq War spending really is, in light of the Obama stimulus:
